Taking a step further in the State Government’s vision is to transform the State into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy, Bharti Airtel launched 4G services in 5 cities of Andhra Pradesh.
Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has unveiled its high speed 4G services in five cities of Andhra Pradesh – Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Nellore. Now, the company’s 4G services will be available across these five cities and customers can access high speed wireless broadband and get on to the digital superhighway for uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images.
The telco is offering LTE 4G services on smart devices including mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles. It is offering 4G services at 3G data prices.
“Now, customers across these five cities can access high speed wireless broadband and get on to the digital superhighway for uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images,” said Venkatesh Vijaya Raghavan, CEO-AP & Telangana of Bharti Airtel.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu called upon the Airtel officials to provide digital literacy for 8 lakh DWCRA associations in the state. He wanted the DWCRA leaders to be trained first in digital usage, followed by training to 80 lakh DWCRA women members. The goal of digital literacy is to teach and assess basic computer concepts and skills.
The Airtel officials said that they have ready-made teaching module for digital literacy, and training for 2 hours a day over a period of 6 months would be required for imparting digital literacy. Venkatesh Vijay Raghavan said that the company could give away certificates after the training.
